Sonisphere festival is a touring rock festival that is around since 2009 in Europe, particularly oriented toward hard rock and heavy metal, so if you are a fan of this genre you can’t miss it. This year edition plans one day of concert in Italy on Saturday 8th June in Milan with an outstanding line line up:

This post provides details, tips and suggestions about this event to non Italian speaking people that would like to attend it, because there is a dedicated website but it is presented only in Italian. The line up

These are the bands that at the date of writing are scheduled to participate to this concert. To be noted the presence of “number ones” like Iron Maiden and Megadeth:

The venue

The event will be hosted at Fiera Milano located in the municipality of Rho, close to Milan, in the open area Fiera Milano Live destinated to shows and concerts.

The venue is simply reachable thanks to the transportation network that it is connected to.

From freeways A7-Genova, A1 Bologna and A4-Torino: “tangenziale ovest” north direction, exit fieramilano.

From freeways A8-Varese and A9-Como: from North Milan barrier follow direction A4-Venezia and exit fieramilano.

From Milan:

By train:

From the three railway stations in Milan named Milano Centrale (Central Milan), Milano Porta Garibaldi, Milano Lambrate: metro line “verde” (green) direction Abbiategrasso; at Cadorna station change to metro line “rossa” (red) , direction Rho-Fiera Milano.

From the railway station Milano Nord Cadorna: metro line “rossa” (red) , direction Rho-Fiera Milano.

By airplane:

From LINATE airport: bus n° 73 and X73 direction Piazza San Babila, than metro line “rossa” (red) (see www.atm-mi.it) direction Rho-Fiera Milano.

During the day of the happening there will be a bus connection: from Linate airport, Domestic Arrival zone, departures from 8.30 to 13.30 and from 15.00 to 18.00, every hour; from Fiera Milano, bus parks area Porta Est (gate Est), departures from 9.30 to 12.30 and from 14.00 to 19.00, every hour.
