Il pianista cinese Lang Lang a nemmeno 30 anni è già considerato uno dei pianisti più famosi del mondo; l’autorevole rivista Time lo scorso anno lo ha inserito tra le 100 persone più influenti della terra ed il New York Times lo definisce l’artista più richiesto sulla scena internazionale della musica classica. Migliaia di spettatori hanno assistito in tutto il mondo ai suoi concerti.
Lang Lang torna a Santa Cecilia per il Lang Lang Festival – dal 19 al 22 giugno – che lo vedrà non solo protagonista indiscusso e virtuoso musicista ma impegnato anche nelle vesti di docente alle prese con ben 100 giovani pianisti che si esibiranno con lui.

La cosa più importante da ricordare riguardo le valvole è che esse hanno una durata di vita indeterminata, un po’ come una lampadina ad incandescenza. Non esiste un vero modo di dire categoricamente quanta vita avranno. Parlando genericamente, se utilizzate due o tre volte per settimana, un set di valvole d’uscita EL34 o 5881 dureranno dai 18 ai 24 mesi. Le valvole preamplificatrici [ECC83/12AX7] come regola hanno circa il doppio della vita delle valvole di potenza, quindi dai 3 ai 4 anni se utilizzate in condizioni normali. Dato che differenti fatture di valvola operano a regolazioni di bias differenti dovreste sempre assicurarvi di utilizzare valvole di potenza selezionate, altrimenti la loro vita sarà drasticamente ridotta.
Quando arriva il momento di cambiare le valvole di potenza saprete con certezza che esse hanno solamente due stati, funzionanti o non funzionanti. Il sintomo più comune di guasto di una valvola è il bruciare il fusibile dell’alta tensione. In certi casi dopo avere sostituito il fusibile l’amplificatore lavorerà per un po’ ma brucerà il fusibile nuovamente quando raggiunge la piena temperatura operativa. Questo è il primo segno di avvertimento che una valvola si sta guastando. Se si bruciano sia il fusibile dell’alta tensione che quello di alimentazione, e quindi bruciano ancora dopo averli sostituiti, è abbastanza chiaro che almeno una delle valvole è andata in corto circuito e deve essere sostituita. The bandoneon is a most curious musical instrument. It is an accordion-like free reed instrument derived from the German concertina, and it was originally intended to be used for folk music and as portable organ for religious ceremonies.

Invented at the half of the XIX century it probably arrived to Buenos Aires towards the end of that same century with some immigrants from Europe, and quickly become the most typical and essential instrument of the music of the Rio de La Plata area, which we know as Argentine Tango.
A few characteristics will quickly make you realize how “magical” this instrument is: it can be played in all keys, it has a variety of “touch” and “attack” possibilities, it can be played continuously like an organ, it has a wide tonal range, it allows to vary the intensity of sustained sounds like strings do, it matches a piano in the sound volume, and it is small and portable!

Tango Spleen Orquesta is an ensemble simply devoted to tango.
It originated from the vision of the Argentinian pianist, composer and singer Mariano Speranza, is based in Italy and composed by young Italian and Argentinian musicians. In their repertoire there are eminent tangos written by great authors of this genre like Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel, Horacio Salgan, reinterpretations of songs played by the great tango orchestras of the past and some original compositions from Mariano Speranza.
Despite their recent foundation, they have already been acclaimed in prestigious festivals and happenings in Italy, Argentina and worldwide. Every band in the world has the necessity to promote itself. If the band is the main activity of the components, plays a popular genre, is willing to play several days per week and to travel, there are chances that it can engage an agent that promotes it. But what if you play just for passion dedicating only a little time to it, are willing to play just a few days per month and not so far away from home? Well, it’s quite sure that you have to promote your band by yourself 
This article was born from my real life experience. I play in a 5 kidult elements band in Italy just for passion and it is not the main activity for us, the dedicated time is limited and therefore we would like to play 1/2 times per month maximum and nearby our homes. In order to find places and events where to play we send e-mails, make phone calls and some visits, but it’s a time consuming activity with a low success probability. And I personally hate this activity, I love to play, I don’t like to be a promoter! That’s why thinking how I could activate something automatic that could help us in this search, I have thought of Internet and Google AdWords. Tango Spleen, grupo musical italo-argentino, sarà a Milano Venerdì 18 Novembre 2011 per presentare le musiche dell’ultimo album TIPICO.
L’evento si terrà presso la storica Palazzina Liberty di Milano che si vestirà di tango per ospitare il concerto dell’ “orquesta” diretta dal pianista e cantante Mariano Speranza, in uno spettacolo entusiasmante che propone le musiche dell’ultimo lavoro discografico.
Dedicato alle grandi orchestre di tango del secolo scorso, il concerto reinterpreta arrangiamenti classici con nuovi timbri e colori caratteristici dell’ensemble, offrendo la possibilità e l’emozione di ballare sulla musica dal vivo in questo elegante spazio del primo Novecento, ribattezzato Casa Cambalache in omaggio alla tradizione di Buenos Aires.
Sul palco si esibiranno Mariano Speranza al pianoforte e al canto, Andrea Marras al violino, Giampaolo Costantini al bandoneon, Elena Luppi alla viola, Gian Luca Ravaglia al contrabbasso e Silvio Jara alla chitarra e percussioni, alternandosi con gli interventi musicali della Tango-Dj di origine sudamericana Burgoita. Valvole (denominate in Inglese “valve” o “tube”) di tutte le forme, dimensioni e fatture sono sempre state associate con i molti timbri famosi degli amplificatori Marshall e per una buona ragione – esse sono un componente essenziale nella creazione di ciò che è divenuto conosciuto come il “suono Marshall”. Eppure, nonostante la loro importanza, nella mente del chitarrista medio le valvole sono avvolte in un’aura misteriosa. In effetti, negli anni un’intera mitologia (in parte reale, in parte pura fantasia!) è stata costruita attorno a questi enigmatici componenti elettronici. Con questo articolo, il primo di una serie su questo soggetto, speriamo di fare un po’ di luce sulla così tanto equivocata valvola. Cominceremo dallo spiegare qualcosa riguardo il come questi vetri incandescenti generatori di timbro lavorano – in termini ‘chitarrista amichevoli’, naturalmente!
